About the turnover rate of foreigners
According to the “Japan Association for Promotion of Internationalization,” the average length of service in Japan of foreign human resources who currently live abroad is 2 years
Moreover, it is clear that only half of them changed careers in Japan, and that others have gone back to their home countries.
The most common dissatisfaction among those who worked at a Japanese enterprise for only 2 to 3 years was “the lack of diversity within the company” and “the career evolvability”
When the reasoning behind foreigners’ resignation from Japanese companies is looked into deeply, there lies a circumstance of “not being able to feel comfortable with the Japanese work style.”
I couldn’t land in the job I was seeking for
I could build a better career by working outside of Japan
Understanding such complaints, as enterprises
that want to establish a number of foreign workers,
①Close communication and mutual understanding
②Maintaining the environment and the system
is much needed.
Creating a place where both foreign employees and employers can work lively is not easy.
Why not try to build a workplace where excellent foreigners can work long term with the occasional help of a wise institution.
