During our business Japanese lesson, Rie-sensei prepared a PDF with exercises practicing the various types of honorific verbs and using them in sentences. It's really good practice just trying to use them naturally. She always adds useful new business words for me to learn and provides interesting biz context as well. Again, for anyone wanting to start out Biz Japanese, highly recommended!

Today, I asked Rie Sensei to help me prepare for the interview. She listened to what I wanted to say first and helped me construct better sentences. The time flew fast because we were continuously studying throughout the lesson.

We studied not-constructions today. The exercises were really fun and helped me remember a lot of vocabulary too! I was also encouraged to speak freely in between exercises, so I got to practice even more Japanese than I originally planned.

Rie-san gave me some recommendations for future lesson ideas. She also provided some real-time feedback to broaden my vocabulary. We ended the session with a brief dictation and she helped me check my pronunciation.
